The School of Communication, Media and the Arts is proud to host the New York State Summer School of the Arts for 2016.

If you are a high school student interested in studying media arts this program will provide you with an amazing opportunity to study video, film, photography and graphic arts with other talented students from around New York State.

The Summer School of the Arts is recognized as one of the finest programs of its kind in the nation and provides students with the opportunity to study in an atmosphere that fosters innovative thinking, encourages dynamic collaborations and scholarly-artistic endeavors. Free your imagination and be part of an inspiring adventure in cutting-edge fields of media production. It's open to all New York State high school age students who qualify through audition or application. Tuition assistance is available.

Nationally know media artist, Robert Harris, is the Artistic Director of the School and has assembled a faculty of outstanding media artists for the program. Students work in small groups with their instructors.

Your classes will include introductions to specific facilities and allow you to explore new techniques and processes in the creation of media. The program is held at SUNY Oswego's School of Communication, Media and the Arts and culminates with a final show and screening. All students are strongly encouraged to finish work for display in this show.
