For the second year in a row, members of the public are invited to celebrate National Arbor Day with the Canal Forest Restoration Project (CFRP) team at Rice Creek Field Station via a free online webinar conference on Friday, April 30.

The college's second Wellness Day -- Tuesday, March 23 -- will offer a day for campus community members an opportunity to unplug or, if they choose, to take advantage of a variety of programs geared toward mental and physical wellness.

For the first-ever Wellness Day -- Wednesday, Feb. 24 -- Rice Creek Field Station will offer many “natural” attractions and events for the campus community, many also providing opportunities to enjoy the outdoor fresh air.

Counseling Services and Rice Creek Field Station collaborated this semester to support students’ mental health using the powerful effects of the natural world.

Rice Creek Field Station staff and associates are finding creative ways to connect with the public this summer, including a weekly online Exploring Nature Live and programs on the station's research.

George and Jane Pauk recently pledged $5,000 per year for five years ($25,000 total) in support of the Canal Forest Restoration Project at SUNY Oswego's Rice Creek Field Station. This project is an initiative to restore white oak, swamp white oak, and white pine trees to areas along the New York State canal system, including Oswego.
