BHI student from Liberia gains world of experience

December graduate Otis Gbala became the first SUNY Oswego alumnus who studied from Liberia, and served as the graduate banner presenter for December Commencement on Saturday, Dec. 16.

Spring welcoming activities scheduled for students

SUNY Oswego's spring Welcome Week of events will feature a variety of things to do during the first week of classes.

Events will be hosted by offices across campus to celebrate your return back to Oswego for the spring semester and to welcome the new Lakers joining the Oswego family in spring 2024. All events are free and open to all students.

MLK Day of Service looking for volunteers

January 17, 2024

The 2nd annual MLK Day of Service will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 3, in the Marano Campus Center food and activity court. In partnership with Rise Against Hunger, organizers are excited to open up this event to volunteers who would like to participate in this program.

You can use this form to volunteer. Participants will prepare meals that will help families in need.

Sips, newest campus cafe, offers unique, handcrafted drinks

The newest café on campus -- Sips, in the Marano Campus food and activity court -- brings something new to the university's menu.

Sips specializes in the creation of handcrafted, unique drinks not found anywhere else in Oswego. The location offers boba milk teas, smoothies, protein shakes, lotus energy drinks, Italian sodas, soup and convenience items. 

Sips is open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Fridays.

EXCEL hiring First-Year Experience instructors for fall

EXCEL: Experiential Courses and Engaged Learning is seeking First-Year Experience facilitators to teach an eight-week transition course (GST 104) in fall 2024. Both faculty and professional staff are encouraged to apply.

This course is a requirement for all incoming first-year students this fall, and there is a need for additional facilitators to join the team.
