Faculty-Student Challenge Grants awarded to 11 projects

The Spring 2024 round of the Faculty-Student Challenge Grant applications funded 11 proposals for a total of more than $49,000 awarded among them.

These proposals were recommended for funding by members of the Scholarly and Creative Activity Committee and ultimately approved for funding by Provost Scott Furlong.

Late Night Breakfast to wrap today’s OzFest activities

After a full day of OzFest activities and a concert headlined by Offset, students are invited to wrap up the evening by coming to a free Late Night Breakfast at Cooper Dining Hall, from 9 to 11 p.m. on Friday, May 3.

The menu will include pancakes, scrambled eggs, vegan sausage, cereal and more. Students with or without a meal plan will receive free entry, as one way of celebrating their hard work all semester.

SUNY Oswego’s Peter Nwosu on leadership: Keep learning, collaborate, embrace innovation

Peter O. Nwosu, Ph.D., took office as the 11th president of SUNY Oswego in mid-August. At the end of September, Nwosu announced an ambitious vision for the university that calls for doubling the number of graduates to 4,000 a year by 2040.

Student takes second in state business competition with concept to help others with impaired vision

Erin Czadzeck, a student in SUNY Oswego’s master of business administration (MBA) program, recently earned second place in the software and services category of the New York State Business Plan Competition for Insight, an app that would help fellow blind and visually impaired people pick out clothes independently and create outfits every morning.
