Campus community invited to join CNY Pride event on June 21

The campus community is invited to come celebrate with SUNY Oswego at this year's CNY Pride Festival in Syracuse's Inner Harbor on Saturday, June 21.

Downtime scheduled for Banner server updates

June 9, 2025

On Tuesday, June 24, from 6 to 8 a.m., Campus Technology Services (CTS) will apply Banner server updates, affecting access to the following:

  • Banner Admin Pages
  • myOswego
  • Argos reporting from Banner
  • Banner Document Management (BDM)

Banner scheduled jobs will also not run during this time.

Further updates will be posted to the CTS status page.

Mack Hull, national finalist for women’s hockey player of the year

Mackenzie (Mack) Hull was the first-ever Laker finalist for the Laura Hurd Award for best NCAA Division III women's hockey player, as well as a first-team All-American. She discusses the team winning its first SUNYAC title, her wellness management major and her dad being her #1 fan.

Geographical gaps in radar coverage can limit the ability of meteorologists to forecast and communicate weather forecasts, especially with fast-developing and extreme conditions. Two May 2025 SUNY Oswego meteorology graduates, Zoe Bush and Thomas White, were part of research this spring on fixing these blind spots.

Storm-chasing SUNY Oswego students dodge tornadoes in northwest Texas

A storm-chasing class from SUNY Oswego traveled through the Brownfield-Lubbock-Lamesa area of northwest Texas on May 29 gaining real-life meteorology experience while the region experienced two EF-1 tornadoes.

Need to upgrade your computer to Windows 11? Summer is a good time to do it

Campus Technology Services (CTS) continues to work on a campus-wide transition to Windows 11. This transition is necessary as part of an ongoing commitment to provide a secure and efficient technology environment. 

CTS has been working on migrating employee, classroom, and computer lab computers to Windows 11 since summer 2024.  As we get closer to Microsoft’s Oct. 14, 2025 support deadline, CTS would like to remind employees to upgrade their computers. Summer is a great time to do it.
