Art department announces student awards

The art department recently announced student recipients of its spring 2020 award recipients. 

Because of the impressive collection of student talent, the faculty had a difficult time narrowing it down to this list, said Kelly Roe, chair and associate professor of art. Awards would normally take place at Quest and Honors Convocation.

Oswego's Kathi Dutton earns statewide excellence award

Kathi Dutton, who provides key learning management support in Campus Technology Services, recently earned the Excellence in Instructional Support at a State Operated or Statutory Campus from the Faculty Advisory Council on Teaching and Technology (FACT2) and the FACT2 Awards Committee.

The awards are system-level honors that acknowledge and recognize consistently noteworthy achievement while encouraging the ongoing pursuit of excellence.

SUNY Oswego students and student-run WTOP-TV 10 and WNYO 88.9 FM recently added a combined eight new awards to their list of accomplishments through the New York State Broadcasters Association’s annual Awards for Excellence in Broadcasting.

Captioning makes audio and video content more accessible. As SUNY Oswego has shifted to alternative modes of teaching in recent weeks, more students than ever stand to benefit from the captioning of video content. To support faculty in the first weeks of their transition to online teaching, Campus Technology Services offered captioning services for some newly generated videos.
