Annual campus WinterFest set this weekend

Residence Life and Housing's annual WinterFest event will help welcome all students back to campus for the spring semester with activities from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 28 in the Marano Campus Center food and activities court.

Activities will include build-a-buddy, an airbrush tattoo artist, a snow globe photo booth, axe throwing, make-your-own-reed-diffuser, a mechanical reindeer and a hot chocolate bar.

Additionally, there will also be an open skate session with skate rentals free of charge.

MLK Day of Service on Feb. 4 to combat hunger

As part of continuing the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., SUNY Oswego's Office of Student Engagement and Leadership (SEL) will combat hunger during the MLK Day of Service on Saturday, Feb. 4.

For the event, from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Marano Campus Center food and activity court, SEL will partner with Rise Against Hunger, the Student Association and Student Association Programming Board to host a meal packaging event.

Rise Against Hunger is a global movement to end hunger by empowering communities, nourishing lives and responding to emergencies.

Centro bus schedule updated for spring 2023

To best meet the needs of students, the Centro bus schedule has been modified for this semester.

Class schedules, student feedback and usage data were utilized to consider what changes from the fall could be made to improve student experience and access to the two bus routes on campus, the Blue Route and the Green Route. Specifically, the university reviewed daily ridership in small time increments to determine traffic patterns aligned with spring course schedules.
