Penfield Library, DLE team hosting Grading and Tea sessions

Penfield Library and the Digital Learning Environment (DLE) team welcome faculty and staff to Grading and Tea sessions in the upcoming week.

SUNY Oswego faculty and staff are welcome to come to Penfield Library if they would like some company and tea while grading, or to consult with the DLE team on using Brightspace Gradebook. Chill tunes and complimentary tea and snacks will be provided.

SEFA running drives for food, pet supplies, toys

The SEFA (State Employees Federated Appeal) planning committee currently is running two drives -- the Food and Pet Supply Drive through the end of this week (Friday, Dec. 2), and SUNY Oswego's 35th annual Toy Drive, through Wednesday, Dec. 7, with pickups on Dec. 8.

For the Food and Pet Supply Drive, SEFA asks you to consider bringing in non-perishable food items that will be donated to Human Concerns Food Pantry in Oswego and the Salvation Army, or pet supplies/food, which will be donated to Paws Across Oswego County and the Oswego Animal Shelter.

Memorial service, planetarium show scheduled Thursday for late director Scott Roby

A memorial service and planetarium show at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 1, will honor longtime planetarium director Scott Roby, who passed away recently (see campus announcement below).

Students, faculty, staff and others are invited to share remarks of their memories of Roby and his impact on their lives and studies. A brief planetarium show also will take place. The planetarium is located in 223 Shineman Center.

SUNY Oswego signs to glow purple in recognition of World Pancreatic Cancer Day

SUNY Oswego’s main entrance signs will glow with purple light today, Nov. 17, in recognition of World Pancreatic Cancer Day and as a way for many to remember loved ones lost to pancreatic cancer, support those living with and beyond the disease, as well as raise vital awareness during November’s Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month.

Seeking student input on campus spaces

SUNY Oswego is initiating a very important master planning process this fall, which includes a review of campus spaces. We are particularly interested in student input as it relates to the residence halls, the off-campus experience, and campus spaces that exist for students to engage with one another and where students are able to gather for social and other educational opportunities.
