Dedication to students, SUNY Oswego's academic opportunities and his field as a whole has earned philosophy professor Craig DeLancey the college’s President’s Award for Excellence in Faculty Service.

Guest speaker Dr. David Morrow of American University will deliver the 30th anniversary Warren Steinkraus Lecture on Human Ideals, titled "Climate Justice and Carbon Renewal," at 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, in Marano Campus Center auditorium, Room 132.

A record number of current students and/or recent alumni at SUNY Oswego are scheduled to go abroad under the prestigious Fulbright U.S. Student program in 2018-19.

Abraham Lincoln: politician, philosopher or economist? Was John Stuart Mill just a philosopher? Was Adam Smith just an economist? A new SUNY Oswego degree program to launch this fall underscores the answer: Academic disciplines, like careers, often intersect, regardless of boundaries and labels.

SUNY Oswego’s 2016 Warren Steinkraus Lecture on Human Ideals will feature Pete Mandik of William Paterson University addressing “Mind, Metaphysics and the Future” at 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, in Marano Campus Center auditorium.

SUNY Oswego’s 2015 Warren Steinkraus Lecture on Human Ideals, on Saturday, Oct. 3, will feature Dr. Jonathan Riley, an expert on the work of John Stuart Mill, a 19th century philosopher who significantly contributed to modern political theory.

With the appointment of SUNY Oswego philosophy professor K. Brad Wray as co-editor, the journal Metascience now calls the college its headquarters.
