With around 30 percent of SUNY Oswego students the first in their families to attend college, a number of initiatives and efforts are coming together to support this population.

Antoine Okeke, a senior at Oswego studying tech management, is pioneering a new potential opportunity for students after serving his menu at Cooper Dining Hall.

This year's OzFest concert will feature Kiari Kendrell Cephus, known globally as Offset, a Grammy-nominated, renowned and accomplished song-writer, entertainer, and burgeoning business man. He also is one-third of the popular, multi-platinum rap trio Migos.

The votes have been tallied, and the university’s new name for the student-allocated room previously known as The Space will be the Laker Lounge.

On Feb. 2, 2024, SUNY Oswego's student-run TV station, WTOP, made history with a broadcast team of all women.

WTOP-10, SUNY Oswego’s student-led broadcast station, will air its first-ever sports broadcast with a production team made up entirely of women on Friday, Feb. 2.

The next edition of The Saloon, a student-developed program to create conversations and connections, will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 25, in Mary Walker Health Center.

Relatives and friends of SUNY Oswego’s students are invited to come to campus and experience some unique events during Family and Friends Weekend, running from Oct. 20 to 22.

“Potluck,” a public student art project on the first floor of Penfield Library, shines a light on the services of the SHOP (Students Helping Oz Peers) pantry on campus as well as the issue of food insecurity.

A unique family hat trick of three brothers can be seen around campus and on the ice playing with the SUNY Oswego men’s club hockey team.
