SUNY Oswego faculty member Paul Leary, who specializes in music technology, composition and flute, will offer a recital at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 31, in Tyler Hall's Room 11, featuring two students, his wife, one or more of his electronic music inventions, and a mix video from the recent premiere of Leary's original multimedia work, "Larger Than Us."

A master of the traditional Japanese horizontal harp or zither, the koto, Masayo Ishigure will bring to SUNY Oswego the talent that led to her playing on a Grammy Award-winning soundtrack by famed composer John Williams.

The SUNY Oswego music department will present the Bacchus Saxophone Quartet -- performing a wide variety of styles appropriate for all ages and musical tastes -- at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 3, in Sheldon Hall ballroom.

JR Fralick, a "vocally suave" and multifaceted solo tenor, will conduct a recital of powerful 19th century Russian arias at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, in SUNY Oswego's Sheldon Hall ballroom.

International concert pianist and SUNY Oswego music professor Robert Auler will present a concert of favorite works at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21, in the Sheldon Hall ballroom.

The Oswego Jazz Project, a combo of four professional musicians on SUNY Oswego's music faculty, will mark the return of accomplished bassist Danny Ziemann in concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 23, in Sheldon Hall ballroom.

SUNY Oswego professors Ampalavanar Nanthakumar of the mathematics department and Eric Schmitz of music have earned the 2018 President's Award for Scholarly and Creative Activity.
