With the once-in-a-lifetime experience of being in the path of totality for a total solar eclipse on April 8, SUNY Oswego will host student research, viewing opportunities, planetarium shows, children’s activities, lectures from experts and more on its lakeside campus.

Indu Rasika Churchill of the mathematics faculty recently earned the Provost’s Award for for Scholarly and Creative Activity, which recognizes a junior faculty member, in this case a “rising star” in the words of her nominator.

Outstanding work inside the classroom and supporting student research have earned Amplavanar Nanthakumar of SUNY Oswego’s Mathematics Department the rank of SUNY Distinguished Teaching Professor.
