SUNY Oswego’s new School of Engineering and Natural Sciences collects some of Oswego’s signature and strongest programs with a lens on collaborating and focusing on growing job opportunities.

SUNY Oswego’s Engineering Week, sponsored by Micron Technology, will unfold April 6 to 10, with new and returning activities to connect current university and high school students with opportunities and career pathways in this ever-growing industry.

During a recent extended visit to Taiwan, SUNY Oswego faculty and staff continued paving the way for partnerships with other universities and global corporations, including Micron Technology.

SUNY Oswego’s ABET-accredited Electrical and Computer Engineering program is preparing local, job-ready engineers to support Central New York’s booming tech economy as Micron builds one of the nation’s largest semiconductor fabs nearby. With hands-on labs, strong industry partnerships and affordable access through SUNY, graduates are stepping into high-demand roles that fuel regional innovation and growth.

SUNY Oswego’s Engineering Week, sponsored by Micron Technologies, will return March 31 to April 4 to connect current university and high school students with opportunities and career pathways in this ever-growing industry.

A pair of informative panel presentations, spotlighting many alumni in the field, are among the highlights of SUNY Oswego’s Engineering Week events, April 1 to 5.

A propulsion technology breakthrough has resulted in a new patent for SUNY Oswego’s electrical and computer engineering professor Adrian Ieta’s ionic wind research.

In conjunction with National Engineers Week and upon launching a year-long celebration of the SUNY Oswego’s Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) program and department’s 10-year anniversary, the university will offer a variety of events for its inaugural Engineering Week: The future flows through Oswego, Feb. 20 to 24.

A two-year, $187,599 grant from the National Science Foundation will fund research and student-led projects in the pursuit of discovering a more efficient way to charge electric vehicles.
