For communication studies faculty member Andrea J. Vickery, earning the 2023 President’s Award for Teaching Excellence thanks to a nomination from one of her students underscores her dedication to those who she connects with on campus.

On Feb. 2, 2024, SUNY Oswego's student-run TV station, WTOP, made history with a broadcast team of all women.

Francisco Suarez from SUNY Oswego’s communication studies faculty partnered with local public media outlet WCNY to successfully stage the first year of the Visual Storytelling Summer Camp for high school children.

The New York State Broadcasters Association (NYSBA) presented four awards to SUNY Oswego broadcasting students honoring top-tier work in television, radio and digital storytelling.

This summer, SUNY Oswego and WCNY, with the support of the Syracuse City School District (SCSD) and Central New York Community Foundation, will offer the first-ever "Visual Storytelling Summer Camp." The free camp is open for applications from middle-school students in the region.
