After graduating from SUNY Oswego with a degree in broadcasting and mass communication in 2021, New York City native Adriana Loh decided to build her career as a multimedia journalist with Spectrum News 1 in the Central New York area she had grown to love as a student.

SUNY Oswego continued its impressive climb on the performance-based Broadcast Education Association rankings of media programs, rising to #35 (up 13 spots) and ranking as the top public school in New York state.

When "Marty Supreme" premiered in 2025, audiences were introduced to Luke Manley, who gave a performance that helped the film land a nomination for the Actor Award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast. But long before the red carpet, the 2015 graduate was the new kid on campus –- a transfer student who found his footing at SUNY Oswego.

Two SUNY Oswego students earned first-place honors in student categories at the Syracuse Press Club’s Professional Recognition Awards on May 2.

The Sigma Pi Chapter of Lambda Pi Eta, SUNY Oswego's National Communication Honor Society, held their annual Spring Induction Ceremony welcoming 26 new members on April 21 in Hewitt Hall.

For 14 SUNY Oswego students, Hollywood stopped being an idea or a vacation destination and became a place they could realistically enter as a career.

Students can now earn SUNY Oswego college credits while completing high school certifications in broadcasting and digital media.

SUNY Oswego broadcasting and digital media students Luke Belanger, Joshua Matteson and Michelle Smith have earned attention and admiration across the state and beyond by providing ongoing “SportsCenter”-style coverage of SUNY’s annual Mascot Madness.

SUNY Oswego students Benjamin Goldblatt, Michael Lavalette and Quinn Galuski earned honors in the 2026 BEA Festival of Media Arts — a national competition showcasing student work in broadcasting, film and digital storytelling.

SUNY Oswego graduates appeared on-air on NBC’s “Today” show on Jan. 27 as the program celebrated the 30th anniversary of hiring one of the university’s most famous alumni – Al Roker, also known widely as “America’s Favorite Weatherman.”
