Polo G, Mariah the Scientist to headline OzFest concert

This year’s OzFest concert on May 9 will feature multi-platinum artist Polo G and R&B sensation Mariah the Scientist. Students from Oswego's own Digital Music Association will open the show.

'BFA 2 Exhibition' now running; artists' reception set May 9

The campus community is invited to celebrate Tyler Art Gallery's "BFA 2 Exhibition," running through May 16 and with an opening reception from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, May 9.

This semi-annual event marks a pivotal moment in the careers of Bachelor of Fine Arts students as they transition from emerging artists to professional creatives. The BFA exhibitions are a celebration of the students' dedication, creativity and vision as they make their mark in the art world. Attendees can experience the diverse and innovative works that display their unique perspectives.

Torchlight events scheduled for May 16; deadlines to participate ahead

One of the university's longest-running traditions, Commencement Eve Torchlight, will return on Friday, May 16, starting at 8 p.m. in Lot E-31, between Marano Campus Center and Penfield Library.

Faculty and staff invited to drop-in meetings today with President Nwosu

SUNY Oswego President Peter O. Nwosu will host faculty and staff drop-in hours today, Tuesday, May 6, from 11 a.m. to noon in the Marano Campus Center Chu Atrium. 

All faculty and staff are invited to stop by and meet with President Nwosu during these in-person drop-ins, which are planned to be held periodically throughout the semester.

  • Residence halls and Village Townhouses close at noon on May 17, 2025, for non-graduating students.

  • Transition to summer housing for summer school students will occur on May 18 from 9 to 11 a.m.

  • Graduates must vacate their residence halls two hours after their ceremony concludes.

Students were recognized for their dedication to programs including the Empire State Service Corps, internships, Focus Forward, Oswego Children's Project and First-Year Success Coaching.

Movie night to feature 'The Princess and the Frog'

Running from 4:30 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 8, "Magical Night – A Collaborative Screening and Conversation" will feature a screening of the feature film "The Princess and the Frog" followed by a discussion in 142 Marano Campus Center.
