SUNY Oswego, in partnership with Wegmans Pharmacy, will host flu vaccination clinics in Swetman Gym on the following dates:

• Tuesday, Oct. 29 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Wednesday, Nov. 20 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

National Cybersecurity Awareness Month: Multi-factor authentication fraud

As part of National Cybersecurity Awareness Month (NCSAM), Campus Technology Services (CTS) is focusing this week on multi-factor authentication (MFA) Fraud. MFA is an excellent tool used to protect accounts from compromise, but like with passphrases, malicious actors try to find ways to circumvent MFA in an attempt to access accounts. By keeping the following things in mind you can help protect your account from MFA fraud:

Renowned Kenyan anthropologist to deliver two lectures on human evolution

This week, SUNY Oswego will host two lectures by renowned scientist FK Manthi, a member of the U.S National Academy of Sciences and director of antiquities, site and monuments at the National Museums of Kenya.

'Hack Your Brain!' skill-share set for neurodivergent (and neurocurious) students

"Hack Your Brain!" from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 17, is a peer-led, supportive space for neurodivergent and neurocurious* students to share and build skills. The skill-share in Penfield Library's Classroom 111 will focus on creating a neuro-friendly workspace. All are welcome.

*Organizers use "neurocurious" as a term that includes students who self-identify as neurodivergent, think they might be neurodivergent or are just beginning to explore the way their brain works.

SEFA organizing Pink Day fundraising

The SEFA (State Employees Federated Appeal) campaign is running its breast cancer awareness campaign during the month of October, and Pink Day will be Wednesday, Oct. 23 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Marano Campus Center auditorium.

SUNY Oswego to unveil new outdoor mural project on Oct. 25

The SUNY Oswego Art and Design Department is excited to announce the installation of a 2D outdoor mural on the north-facing wall of Tyler Hall, a project aiming to foster a spirit of positivity and enhance the campus environment, with a reception featuring the unveiling of the mural and celebration of its completion from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 25.
