SUNY Oswego faculty and student scientists working to monitor and protect an environmentally sensitive Oswego County habitat of endangered species also plan to work with the Oswego County Soil and Water Conservation District to hold neighborhood education sessions about how people can alleviate some of the threats.

As many of you may already know, the State University of New York (SUNY) began implementing a policy this year that prohibits asking applicants the question about prior felony convictions on their initial application to a SUNY campus.

SUNY Oswego sophomore, junior and senior students are invited to an exclusive networking event with alumni and recruiters from Central New York companies on Wednesday, Oct. 3.

The event, titled Central New York Career Connections, will be held at Oswego's Syracuse campus, 2 S. Clinton St., from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Free transportation will be provided from Oswego. Pre-registration is required.

Like many college students, SUNY Oswego online broadcasting major Joely Rice works hard to stay up to date while juggling other responsibilities. For her, this includes running a daily advice show to a wide audience on the TikTok app and traveling the world to hold photo shoots empowering young girls.
