The spring 2024 round of the Student Scholarly and Creative Activity Grant application/review process has concluded, with five proposals approved for a combined total of more $4,700 in funding. 

Members of the Student Subcommittee of the Scholarly and Creative Activity Committee reviewed all the proposals and ultimately approved the following for funding via Provost Scott Furlong:

1. Title: "Positivity Through Art; 2D Mural Project"

2. Title: "Comparing Machine Learning of Acoustic Data and Manual Point Counts for Bird Surveys on the SUNY Oswego Campus"

3. Title: "Surveying host-pathogen-environment interactions in amphibian populations of Oswego County"
Students: Joy Zientara

4. Title: "The Effect of Lake Surface Temperatures on Warm-Season Convection on the Great Lakes"
Student: Tyler Lucia
Faculty Mentor: Yonggang Wang, Atmospheric and Geological Sciences

5. Title: "Investigations of Cu(I)-Centered Photosensitizers"
Student: Tyler Ziobro
Faculty Mentor: Thomas Brown, Chemistry
