Applications are now open for five different Alternative Spring Break experiences from March 16 to 24.

One international, three domestic and one local trip will focus on such issues as teaching English, testing clean water, building homes, environmental work and various issues of Oswego County. Interested students can complete an application found on the Community Services alternative breaks page and must attend an information session (dates listed online). Applications are due Nov. 20.

Faculty and staff are encouraged to apply as group leaders. Paired with an experienced student group leader, faculty and staff leaders communicate with the service site, transport students and facilitate learning and reflection while serving alongside student volunteers. In return for their service, group leaders pay half price for their trips.

Those interested in group leading or seeking additional information should contact Catherine Farrell at Catherine.Farrell@oswego.edu.
