Blackboard Upgrade 8/22

The SUNY Oswego Blackboard instance will receive an upgrade on Thursday, August 22 from 12:01 am - 7:00 am.  During this time, Blackboard will be unavailable.The upgrade is necessary to move Blackboard to a new version.  New features will be introduced in this version including voice-recorded feedback assessments, mobile device optimizations, and the accessibility tool, Ally.  

The New SUNY Oswego Single Sign-On

In an effort to improve performance and reliability, Campus Technology Services (CTS) will be performing an upgrade to our Single Sign-On application on August 20th from 6:30 am to 8 am. Single Sign-On is used to sign into such services as myOswego, Blackboard, and the SUNY HR Portal.

During the upgrade, access to these services may be sporadically available during the allotted time. is now LinkedIn Learning

Google will rename 'Team Drives' to 'Shared Drives'

Beginning on May 31st, 2019, Google is renaming ‘Team Drives’ to ‘Shared Drives’. This change will affect the web browser version of Team Drives as well as the iOS and Android mobile apps.

Don’t worry, all of the functionality will remain the same and your stored information will be untouched. It is only a name change.

Oswego Email Addresses Located in Hacked Information Dump

Campus Technology Services has learned that thousands of Oswego email addresses and passwords have been made public recently, as part of several massive information dumps from hacked websites.  It is important to note that passwords for SUNY Oswego services were NOT disclosed, but you may still need to take action.

At the conclusion of the Fall 2018 semester, CTS started advertising the new student print system called LakerPrint.  It has been used in Penfield Library and Shineman (Beaker and Bunsen) over winter break, and is now available in all locations for the Spring 2019 semester.  
To use LakerPrint, please note the following:

    Extended Hours for the CTS Help Desk

    Since the semester is fast approaching, the Help Desk will be holding extended hours for the following days:

    Saturday, 1/26: 12 pm – 4 pm
    Sunday, 1/27: 12 pm – 7 pm

    As of Monday, 1/28, the Help Desk will return to our normal semester hours of:

    Monday - Thursday: 8 am – 7 pm
    Friday: 8 am – 4:30 pm
