Have some important events on your LakerApps Calendar that you wished stood out from the rest? Give it a special color.

While viewing the details of an event, click a color in the “Event Color” section. A small palette of colors is available.  Save the event. When you view your calendar, especially in “Day” or “Week” view, you’ll see your event stands out from the rest.  

LakerApps’ New Look Now Permanent

Over the course of the Fall semester newsletters, we have been letting users know that Google has been working on changing the interfaces of their Gmail, Calendar, Docs and Sites apps.  Google allowed users to preview the interface and then switch back to the “classic” look for a temporary time frame.  Google has now made the new look permanent across all apps.

Did you know you can use LakerApps Gmail when clicking an email address on a web page viewed with the Firefox browser?  Did you know you can send email to your entire class when in myOswego?  There is just one small configuration change needed in Firefox to make it all happen.

Using Textbook Resources in ANGEL

Recently, the SUNY Learning Network (SLN) negotiated a contract with McGraw-Hill (MH) to allow all SUNY campuses access to the MH Campus “nugget” within ANGEL. When enabled, this nugget allows you to use MH textbook resources such as PowerPoint presentations, quizzes, sample chapters, etc. in your course.
