LakerPrint Online Across Campus

At the conclusion of the Fall 2018 semester, CTS started advertising the new student print system called LakerPrint.  It has been used in Penfield Library and Shineman (Beaker and Bunsen) over winter break, and is now available in all locations for the Spring 2019 semester.
To use LakerPrint, please note the following:
  • Submit your document to LakerPrint BEFORE visiting a print station.  This is important as LakerPrint stations do not have flash drive or email capability.  You may submit your document from your own personal device, a computer in a computer lab, or the designated LakerPrint submit station in Shineman near the Beaker and Bunsen printers
  • When you release your document to the printer, you’ll notice a charge.  Print quota balances have previously been displayed in pages. The new system will only show monetary balances.  Students have been allocated 500 pages each fall, winter, spring, and summer semesters. This equates to $75 of printing each semester.  Costs of black and white documents are $0.15 per sheet of paper (whether single or double-sided) and $0.90 per sheet for color documents (whether single or double-sided). When you look at your balance, it will now show a monetary balance based off the $75 allocation and the cost of the printed documents.
  • LakerPrint replaces personal printing from laptops.  If you installed a piece of software to print directly to one of the printers on campus, you will now submit to LakerPrint and then release the document at any LakerPrint station.
  • If you utilize printing at the front desks of the residence halls, you will need to give your College ID to the desk attendant in order for your document to be printed.
More details, including instructions on how to use LakerPrint and release station locations, are available from the LakerPrint website.
