Samantha Brown graduated from SUNY Oswego magna cum laude with dual majors in computer science and interaction design — and did it completely debt-free. Through dual enrollment credits, scholarships, leadership roles and hands-on experiences, she built a strong foundation that led to a full-time software engineering career in New York City.

A new Money Matters program headquartered in SUNY Oswego’s Financial Aid Office launched in August 2024 and has already reached hundreds of students by providing financial literacy resources.

Three SUNY Oswego students will help meet an initiative to increase FAFSA (Financial Aid Free Student Application) completion rates, thanks to support from SUNY and AmeriCorps.
