The work of four SUNY Oswego student researchers and a faculty member tracking and potentially combatting an invasive species -- for which they made the first discovery in Oswego County -- recently earned publication.

SUNY Oswego honored two faculty members with the Award of Excellence in Research and Sponsored Programs, based on outstanding dedication to seek and obtain external funding, and the cumulative funds in which they have received.

As the college prepares to recognize six faculty members who've reached medal-winning levels of cumulative external funding through pursuing grants, the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs continues a cross-campus effort to broaden the numbers and academic disciplines represented by faculty who seek grants.

Thanks to a nearly $300,000 National Science Foundation grant, undergraduate researchers, starting this summer, are working with Dr. Yulia Artemenko of SUNY Oswego's biological sciences faculty to investigate how single cells determine where to move, which could have implications for why cancer cells metastasize -- migrate away from a primary tumor.

SUNY Oswego senior music major Jacob Saeva plans to ride a college grant all the way to "Boston and Back," the title of an in-production album of music Saeva has worked hard to create this spring.

SUNY Oswego recently received notice of an award from the SUNY Technology Accelerator Fund (TAF) to advance the commercial readiness of a novel device that will enable fast and secure transfer of wireless data.

The 2017 SUNY Oswego President's Award for Teaching Excellence will honor chemistry faculty member Dr. Casey Raymond, who garnered praise in more than a dozen letters of support from colleagues and alumni for his 14 years of challenging, supporting and inspiring his students.
