The college's Title IX Office and national organization It's On Us team up for a pair of big days in the upcoming weeks: It's On Us pledge day on Oct. 28 and a series of workshops on Nov. 3.
The annual It's On Us pledge day will run from noon to 4 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 28 on the Marano Campus Center concourse. Members of the campus community are asked to take the pledge to stop sexual assault and can receive a T-shirt. Those who previously have taken the pledge and have a shirt are encouraged to wear it that day.
Attendees are invited to get their photos taken in It's On Us shirts. Other swag and chances to win prizes will be available that day.

"We have been doing pledge days since 2014," said Lisa Evaneski, SUNY Oswego's Title IX coordinator. "On average more than 500 students and employees have taken the pledge each year."

On Thursday, Nov. 3, It's On Us trainers are coming to campus to train the trainers and host workshops for students. This will include new workshops like how to support survivors, what a healthy relationship looks like and online dating safety, as well as recurring workshops on consent, intimate partner violence intervention and bystander education.
Signups to these and other workshops are available online.
The SUNY Oswego chapter It's On Oz carries forward to mission of the national It's On Us campaign, which formed in 2014 after the White House Task Force to Prevent Sexual Assault noted the importance of calling everyone into the conversation on sexual assault prevention.
"They told me we are one of the longest standing chapters and one of the most active," Evaneski said. "It is going to be amazing."
