NCAA postseason dreams continue this weekend, with the Laker men's basketball team playing in the national Sweet 16 of the tournament, while wrestler Charlie Grygas grapples for glory in his third trip to nationals.

For men's basketball (27-2), ranked #6 in the nation, the next hill is tough as they take on overall #1 seed Randolph Macon (29-1). The Lakers racked up two impressive victories on their home court in the first two rounds, 80-62 over Marymount (Va.) on March 3 then 66-61 against another top-10 team in John Carroll University on March 4. 

Oswego tips with the top-ranked Yellowjackets at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 10, at the latter's home gym in Ashland, Virginia.

Student-run radio station WNYO will make the trip to Virginia as well to broadcast the Laker action via webstream, and a TV livestream also is available.

Wrestling championships

Grygas won the 174-pound weight class at the NCAA Mideast Regionals in Ithaca last weekend, and earned the sixth seed for the national championship tournament. He won four matches in the regionals to run his record to 29-1 on the season, with 11 wins coming from major decisions, three technical falls and five falls.

The NCAA Championships take place on Friday, March 10, and Saturday, March 11, in the nationals which also take place in Virginia -- at the Berglund Center in Roanoke. Visit the NCAA Division III wrestling website to see how to follow the action.
