“Many Voices, One Oswego; Diversity and Inclusion in the Arts” was a year-long project in the School of Communication, Media and the Arts at SUNY Oswego and was supported by an Explorations in Diversity and Academic Excellence grant from SUNY’s Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. The grant supported arts events that explored topics of diversity through the lens of the arts – visual and performing.

The culminating project was the Diversity and the Arts documentary project led by Professor Francisco Suarez. Students in his Global Documentary class produced a set of videos that followed the collaboration of a student artist and an international student as they got to know each other, culminating in a new piece of art based on their relationship.

This set of documentaries below is an excellent example of the collaborative opportunities available in the School of Communication, Media and the Arts and serve as a visual representation of Oswego’s ongoing commitment to diversity and inclusion.
