Running March 10 through April 3, the 63rd annual Juried Student Exhibition honors SUNY Oswego's student-driven focus by presenting an exhibit that is entirely for students — by students in Tyler Art Gallery.
Sponsored by the Student Art Exhibition Club, the project empowers students to select the jurors, support gallery operations and assist in installing the exhibition. The exceptional talents of the student body are showcased at every level.
An opening reception, free and open to the public, will celebrate the student artists from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 12.
This year’s jurors were Alexis Cleveland, a SUNY Oswego graphic design graduate and marketing designer for OneGroup, and Tricia Butski, an artist and educator based in Buffalo.
This year's exhibition will feature painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, graphic design, digital art, animation and more, celebrating the diverse creative voices of SUNY Oswego students. Their art pushes the boundaries of creativity, confronts social issues, explores self-expression and reflects a deep appreciation of the environment.
