The fall master of art in studio arts exhibition highlights the portfolio work of three candidates for December graduation -- Suzanne Gaffney Beason, Jingyuan Duan and Sharon Bottle Souva -- opening  Nov. 21, and after a Thanksgiving break, running Nov. 28 to Dec. 3 in Tyler Art Gallery. An artists' reception for the three graduate students will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1, at the gallery.

A poster co-authored Shashi Kanbur, professor and chair of physics, was presented by Anupam Bhardwaj of the University of Delhi in India at this week’s International Astrophysics Union “Southern Horizons in Time­-Domain Astronomy” symposium in Cape Town, South Africa. Other co-authors of “Multiwavelength Light Curve Analysis of Classical Cepheid Variables” included H.P. Singh, also of the University of Delhi; M. Marconi of INAF-Osservatorio Astronomico di Capidomonte in Napoli, Italy; M. Rejkuba of the European Southern Observatory in Garching, Germany; and C-C. Ngeow of National Central University in Taiwan.
