CTS exploring campus capability with new Apple OS update

On Monday, Sept. 24, Apple released macOS Mojave (10.14), their latest operating system. CTS is currently testing the new release for campus application and network compatibility, particularly with the academic and residential WiFi networks.

Today (Sept. 25) is the deadline for students to sign up for January 2019 study-aboard opportunities in Europe, Asia and South America.

College enhances emergency communication, alert notification systems

In an ongoing effort to strengthen campus safety and improve communication on campus, Campus Technology Services (CTS), University Police and the Office of Communications and Marketing teamed up this summer and took a number of steps aimed at augmenting the way we notify members of our campus community in the event of a crisis or emergency.

We are pleased to share the following enhancements that are now in place and ready to implement if and when necessary.

Free flu shots available for students today, Oct. 25 and Nov. 2

Free flu shots for students will be offered on the following days and times at the college's Mary Walker Health Center . 

  • TODAY, Thursday, Oct. 25, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Friday, Nov. 2, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

No appointment is needed.

Faculty and student SCA grant application deadlines fast approaching

This is a friendly reminder that all faculty Scholarly and Creative Activity (SCA) grant applications are due on Monday, Oct. 22, by 4:30 p.m. 
Additionally, all student SCA grant applications are due on Monday, Nov. 5 by 4:30 p.m.

Seeking bakers (and tasters) for annual SEFA/United Way bake-off fundraiser

Next month begins the 18th annual State Employees Federated Appeal (SEFA) United Way Bake-Off, and organizers invite faculty and staff members to consider baking a dessert to help raise money for the 2018-19 campaign.

Thanks to the bakers and tasters during last year's bake-off, the campaign was able to raise around $660. The list below provides days and times for when representatives of buildings on campus will participate. To enter, a baker would e-mail the contact person for their building's bake-off and let them know the name of the dessert they will submit.
