CTS gives Apple's latest macOS green light

At this time, Campus Technology Services said you may upgrade your computers to macOS Mojave (10.14). However, it may require you to upgrade certain applications, some of which may only be offered as a pay-to-upgrade.

Please note that 32-bit applications are not compatible with macOS Mojave. For more information on 32-bit applications, check out the RoaringApps 32-bit apps page.

Blackboard update coming next Wednesday, will be unavailable that morning

The SUNY Oswego Blackboard instance will be updated on Wednesday, Nov. 21, from midnight to 7 a.m. requiring Blackboard to be unavailable during this time.

Upon accessing Blackboard after the update, users will be presented with the Blackboard “Privacy, cookies, and terms of use” statement. If you agree to the terms of use, click “Agree & Continue.” It will look similar to the following:

Puerto Rico alternative break fundraiser supporting Grand Challenge: Fresh Water For All

Thirteen students and two staff in collaboration with ALANA and the Community Services office from SUNY Oswego will be fundraising throughout the remainder of the fall semester to support the Grand Challenge: Fresh Water For All initiative. As part of the Puerto Rico Alternative Break Winter 2019 program, the group will travel to Puerto Rico and work with Proyecto Agua Limpia to purchase and distribute Kohler water filters/cartridges to families in need of water filtration that were affected by the hurricanes in 2017. 

Flags to be flown at half staff in memory of victims of California shooting

Acting on a Presidential order, the United States flag will be flown at half-staff on the SUNY Oswego campus and upon all public buildings and grounds across the country until sunset, Nov. 10, 2018 to honor the victims of the tragic shooting that occurred Wednesday evening in Thousand Oaks, California. 

Students encouraged to "drop-in" with President Stanley today

President Deborah F. Stanley continues her drop-in meetings with students today (Friday, Nov. 9) from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in the Marano Campus Center food and activity court.

All students are encouraged to drop in, say hello to President Stanley, ask a question or discuss a topic important to you.
