The SUNY Oswego Division of Extended Learning is proud to announce the return of its premier professional development program, the Lessons in Leadership series, for 2026. Designed for both emerging and established leaders, this series provides actionable insights into the rapidly shifting dynamics of the modern workplace.

Starting in May 2026, the program will feature four immersive, three-hour workshops held every other month through the end of the year. The curriculum is specifically curated to address contemporary business challenges, including:

  • High-Performance Teambuilding: Strategies for coaching and building trust.
  • Design Thinking: Mastering innovation to solve complex organizational problems.
  • AI in Action: Leveraging artificial intelligence to boost operational efficiency.
  • Generational Leadership: Navigating the unique values of a multi-generational workforce.

Participants can earn individual certificates of completion for each session or a comprehensive digital certificate of completion for their LinkedIn profiles upon completing the full series.

"At SUNY Oswego, we view ourselves as a vital engine for regional growth and a lifelong partner for the workforce," said Jill Pippin, dean of the Division of Extended Learning. "The Lessons in Leadership series is a testament to our commitment to providing accessible, high-impact training that helps our local professionals and non-profit organizations thrive in an era of constant technological and social change."

Workshops are priced at $150 per session, with a discounted rate of $125 available for employees of non-profit organizations. All sessions will be held on the third Monday of the month from 1 to 4 p.m. (May 18, July 20, Sept. 21, and Nov. 16).
