With most of SUNY Oswego’s lakeside location situated in the Town of Oswego, the campus community is invited to participate in the town’s Comprehensive Plan Survey.
The Town of Oswego is currently working with the Central New York Regional Planning and Development Board and New York State Department of State for a comprehensive plan update.
Participation in this survey is voluntary, but provides an essential and important opportunity to hear from the SUNY Oswego community on this important plan.
Organizers noted that updating a comprehensive plan is crucial for a town or village to ensure it addresses current and future needs effectively. Updating a comprehensive plan also allows the community to reassess and realign its goals, reflecting changes in demographics, economic conditions and environmental factors.
An updated plan additionally promotes sustainable development, improves infrastructure and enhances quality of life by incorporating modern planning practices and community feedback. It strengthens the town's ability to attract investments and secure grants, providing a clear and strategic framework for growth and development as well.
The town noted that community input is key to successful updates by completing the survey via this link. The survey is expected to stay open through the end of May.
