Highlights for SUNY Oswego's 2006 Engineering Week -- April 6 to 9 -- will include a "Women in Engineering" panel discussion from 4 to 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 9, in 175 Shineman Center.
Sponsored by Micron, Engineering Week hosts several events connecting current students with opportunities and career pathways in this ever-growing industry. The Electrical and Computer Engineering Department serves as lead organizer.
The "Women in Engineering" event, sponsored by Constellation, will feature prominent female engineers and computer scientists who work at local industries talking to students about the key roles they play at their organizations. Panelists will also discuss the various opportunities available to women in the engineering field. Refreshments will be served.
Panelists will include:
- Hannah O'Brien, lead data analyst for National Grid, who earned bachelor's and master's degrees from SUNY Oswego
- Carolyn Kidwell, CASH process leaders for Novelis
- Kristin Printup, senior software engineer for SRC
- Denise Wolniak, design engineering manager - lead for Constellation
