The COPE (Counseling Outreach and Peer Educators) team is hosting a series of events beginning from Nov. 17 to 21 to focus on engaging students in mindful practices as the end of the semester approaches.
Mindfulness can help with mental wellness and cognitive load, and students can benefit from any of the Week of Mindfulness events.
The week will include:
- "Color Your Way to Calm," a mandala coloring event from 5 to 6 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 17
- A Mindfulness Presentation from noon to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 18
- "Craft with COPE", a massive craft session for faculty and students who would like to finish projects, learn new craft skills or just want to connect, from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 19
- "Gratitude Journaling with COPE" from 1:45 to 3:45 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 20
- Friday night will feature a Wellness Recharge to help any lingering students to rest and relax, with a focus on mindful activities
