Two Oswego art students, Malia Minckler and Caryn Nabrizny, have pieces in SUNY’s “Pride in Bloom” exhibition that opened over the summer and will remain on display in the first floor gallery of the H. Carl McCall SUNY Building in Albany through November.

Members of the campus community are invited to meet and welcome the college’s inaugural Artist in Residence Ellen Blalock in an informal event from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 31, in the Tyler Hall lobby.

Artswego at SUNY Oswego is undertaking a new project during the fall 2021 semester which will recognize, celebrate and encourage those who are making a difference in the Oswego County community.

Collaboration between the college’s music and communication studies departments meant that the show could go on, as the Men’s Choir and Women’s Choir lifted their voices for a live concert and documentary now available for viewing.

"Stopping Time: A Photographic Collection of Moments in Nature," a photography show by senior studio art major Bailey Maier is now on display on the third floor of Penfield Library.

“Lemony Snicket” author Daniel Handler, April Sinclair (whose book, "Coffee Will Make You Black," is about to become a major motion picture) and luminary poet Arisa White will share their knowledge and insights in conversation, hosted by and for SUNY Oswego's community but also made open to the public because of their level of popularity. This virtual chat featuring these Subnivean Awards judges followed by finalists reading their work will mark the first-ever literary competition showcase for the college’s student-run literary publication, at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 22.

SUNY Oswego technical theater students show off their skills in an actor free musical lightshow piece during Quest that alludes to the theme of “Alice in Wonderland.”

Opening April 9, "Abstraction from the Permanent Collection" will fill Tyler Art Gallery with works spanning 70 years, right up to three current SUNY Oswego art students.

Internationally acclaimed ensemble Sultans of String and special guests will perform a live virtual concert for SUNY Oswego’s Artswego program at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 13.
