Students are invited to take part in the campus World Kindness Celebration by creating letters to either themselves or someone else, which they can contribute to the kindness tree, from 10 a.m. to noon today (Dec. 6) in 133 Marano Campus Center.
For participants, the event includes tickets for the showing of "A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood," the critically acclaimed movie on the life of children's show host and ambassador of kindness Fred Rogers. Tickets are given away in pairs, with 20 pairs for the Friday, Dec. 6, 4:30 p.m. showing; 20 pairs for 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, showing; and 20 pairs for 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, showing -- all at the Oswego Theatre on West Second Street. Tickets will be available on a first-come first-served basis.
Organizers also will raffle four baskets. Two baskets include a blanket, mug, "Wonder" movie, "Wonder" book and some snacks; and two other baskets have the "Wonder" movie, "Wonder" book and assorted snacks.
The Event is sponsored by the Dean of Students Office and New Student Orientation.
