One of the university's longest-running traditions, Commencement Eve Torchlight, will return on Friday, May 16, starting at 8 p.m. in Lot E-31, between Marano Campus Center and Penfield Library.
Faculty and staff are again encouraged to participate in the Inner Circle of Torchlight. This Oswego tradition is graduating students' official welcome into the Oswego Alumni Association. Share this historic candlelight ceremony with the Class of 2025, as they are welcomed into the Oswego alumni family. As faculty and staff play an integral part in the campus community, they are invited to sit with colleagues and stand to be recognized during the ceremony.
To participate in the Inner Circle, please complete the 2025 Commencement Eve Torchlight Faculty/Staff Inner Circle RSVP Form by Wednesday, May 14.
Immediately preceding the Torchlight Ceremony, faculty and staff are also invited to participate in the Commencement Eve Celebratory Reception, starting at 6:15 p.m. in the Deborah F. Stanley Arena and Convocation Hall.
Faculty and staff are invited to a mix-and-mingle reception to greet and congratulate graduating students and their families. The event will include the presentation of the Oswego Alumni Association’s Outstanding Senior Award to Aiden Wilson ’25 and a toast to the Class of 2025.
Hearty hors d'oeuvres will be served with a cash bar.
Advance registration for the reception is required by Friday, May 9.
