This year's Quest on Wednesday, April 22, will feature a number of new features to complement popular returning traditions.

For Quest, the university’s day celebrating scholarly and creative activities, all classes between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. are cancelled to promote campus participation as presenters and attendees.

Quest's keynote speaker will be Maria Murray, president and CEO of the Reading League and a former SUNY Oswego faculty member. Murray will present "From Ten to Tens of Thousands: How Evidence, Courage, and Community Changed the Conversation About Reading" from 1 to 2 p.m. in the Marano Campus Center auditorium (room 132).

In addition to the popular Quest poster presentations filling the Deborah F. Stanley Arena and Convocation Hall in Marano Campus Center from 2 to 3 p.m., attendees to this session can also see the creations of engineering students, including robotics and drones.

Another new feature showcasing creativity and student use of technology will be a video game lounge, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in 446 Shineman Center.

Another first-time Quest feature is a mini-festival of senior thesis films, running 3 to 6:45 p.m. in the cinema and screen studies screening room, 27 Hewitt Hall.

The university's Great Lakes Institute and Anthropology Department will present a panel presentation, "Exploring and Protecting What’s Important: Lake Ontario and the Broader Great Lakes System as a Shared Community Resource," from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Marano Campus Center auditorium.

But these are only a few of the highlights among the nearly 150 speakers and 190 posters, with topics to interest anybody in the campus community. For more information on Quest and an updated schedule, visit oswego.edu/quest.
