The SUNY Oswego Pluralism Committee, with support from InterFaith America and the Provost's Office, is delighted to announce the recipients of the Fall 2025 Pluralism Mini-Grants.

These $500 grants were established to build an institutional commitment to pluralism by providing opportunities for the campus community to respect, relate and cooperate across differences. The funding will support faculty and staff in incorporating pluralism into their course content and/or university events throughout the Fall 2025 semester.

The committee extends its sincere congratulations to the following individuals and departments for their successful proposals:

  • Linea Cutter - Politics and Women and Gender Studies
  • Terrian Garvis - Triandiflou Institute
  • Joanna Goplen - Women and Gender Studies
  • Laura Halferty - English and Creative Writing
  • Alex Hong-Lun - Curriculum and Instruction
  • Mohammad Islam - Physics and Astronomy
  • Bella Poynton - Theater
  • Roseli Rojo - Modern Languages and Literature
  • Amy Welsh - Office of Learning Services

These awardees have committed to dedicating time to exploring pluralism and utilizing dialogical practices to achieve learning outcomes, such as relating to others across differences, recognizing multiple perspectives and identifying ways to cooperate on shared points of commonality.

The university looks forward to the innovative ways these awardees will enhance pluralism across our campus this fall.
