The STARTALK Chinese language and cultural program announced a workshop this Saturday, March 2, as well the return of its summer workshop.

The free March 2 workshop is geared toward those interested in learning the Chinese language and culture through ethnic arts and crafts. It will run 10 to 11:30 a.m. in 255 Marano Campus Center.

The workshop is sponsored by STARTALK: Chinese Language and Culture Academy, and funded by the National Security Agency.

Parents interested in learning about the on-campus 2019 STARTALK summer camp and students interested in working at the camp are also encouraged to attend the workshop. 

The three-week free language and cultural enrichment summer camp for students in grades 2 to 12 will run 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 1 to 20 at SUNY Oswego's main campus. Funded by the National Security Agency to encourage American students in learning a foreign language that is critically needed for the nation, the camp offers three college credits to high school seniors and juniors upon completing the required work.
