Each February during Valentine's week, the Alumni and Development Division coordinates a program to educate students on the impact of donor gifts to the college.
Throughout the week, representatives visit various classes and student staff meetings to do so. In the process, the office also collects student-written thank you cards to send to some of the college's most loyal donors.
This year, organizers are attempting to send out 1,200 cards and are asking for additional faculty and staff help.
Representatives of this effort would like to visit classes and staff meetings during the week of Feb. 11 to 15. A representative would come into a classes or staff meeting for approximately five to seven minutes to do a quick educational talk about the impact of donations on campus, and then ask students to take a few minutes to write a simple note on cards to thank donors.
