The 11th annual Sportsmanship Day Symposium -- 2:20 to 5:15 p.m. on Thursday, March 7, in 105 Lanigan Hall -- seeks a variety of speakers to present on this topic.

Sponsored by the sociology department and the sports studies program, this event runs in conjunction with the 29th annual National Sportsmanship Day established to promote fair play, kindness and positive expressions in the world of athletics.

Sociology professor Tim Delaney, the campus event's founder, invites faculty, students and staff who have topics related to sportsmanship to submit in whatever academic discipline or field they might represent. The campus and community are invited to attend this free event.
