Internal and external photos of The Space, a new student activities area

Previously used as locker rooms underneath Swetman Gymnasium, The Space has been renovated and transformed into a one-of-a-kind programming venue for registered student organizations.

The Space – the name many of our students proposed and supported – is located on the lower level of the Marano Campus Center and will serve as a venue for a variety of programming, ranging from social gatherings to film festivals, smaller dinners, musical performances, cultural celebrations, trivia nights, sporting event gatherings, and many other possibilities.

Amenities of The Space include:
  • A lobby area with color changing lights to greet your event guests;
  • Flexible lighting options and a low ceiling to provide atmosphere and give events an intimate feeling;
  • Elevator access to the lobby;
  • Five gender inclusive bathrooms;
  • A performer green room;
  • Coat check room;
  • Catering servery;
  • Three built in projectors with screens; and
  • Hookups for up to five wireless mics

Come check out The Space during an open house for registered student organization members will be held on Wednesday, August 28, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (during the Student Involvement Fair) to allow students the opportunity to walk through and view The Space.  Staff will be on hand to answer questions.
