Dear SUNY Oswego Campus Community,

SUNY Oswego's Self-study draft chapters covering the seven MSCHE Standards are now posted for review on our Middle States Self-Study website along with a comment form for each chapter. Please use your Laker NetID to access the draft chapters and comment forms.

We will hold open sessions via Zoom between May 20-27, 2021 for campus discussion on these draft chapters. Please consider attending one or more sessions; the schedule is available on the SUNY Oswego Events Calendar and on our Self-Study website.

These draft chapters collate information from each of our five Self-Study subcommittees representing all seven MSCHE Standards and the subcommittees’ three separate reports completed in February 2020, May 2020 and January 2021:
  1. Institutional documentation relating to the Middle States Criteria (“Do we have it?”)
  2. Alignment of those procedures with our Institutional Priorities (“Do we do it?”), and
  3. Analysis of our Lines of Inquiry (“Does it work?”).
As you read the chapters, please bear in mind that these chapters remain working drafts, and still contain notes regarding information that will be added later this summer and early this fall because our Self-Study report should capture our institutional activity from Fall 2017 to early Fall 2021.

As always, if you have any questions about the Self-Study, please do not hesitate to ask us directly. We hope to see you at one or more of the upcoming open sessions.

Best regards,
Rick Back and Kristi Eck
