The SUNY Oswego Fitness Centers will host the 12th the annual Great Pumpkin 5K Run/Walk at 4:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12.
The entry fee is $5 and all proceeds benefit the Oswego chapter of Blessings in a Backpack, a non-profit organization that provides food to area school children at risk of going hungry on the weekend.
Participants can register at the front desk of either fitness center by Thursday, Oct. 11, or register the day of the event beginning at 3:30 p.m. in the Marano Campus food court.
All participants will receive water bottles, and T-Shirts are available for first 100 registrations. There event will include a prize for the best costume and trophies for top three times (men and women).
Cider, donuts, pumpkin decorating and other raffle prizes will be available after race.
