The SUNY Oswego Fitness Centers will host the 13th annual Great Pumpkin 5K Run/Walk at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 11.
The entry fee is $5 and all proceeds benefit the Oswego chapter of Blessings in a Backpack, a non-profit organization that provides food to area schoolchildren in need.
Participants can register at the front desk of either fitness center by Thursday, Oct. 10, or register the day of the event beginning at 3:30 p.m. in the Marano Campus Center food court.
All participants will receive water bottles, and T-shirts are available for the first 100 registrations. The event will include a prize for the best costume and trophies for the top three times (men and women).
Cider, donuts, pumpkin decorating and other raffle prizes will be available after the race. For more information, e-mail brian.wallace@oswego.edu.
