Students planning to register for credit for a winter or spring 2019 internship or co-op should begin the process now, according to Excel: Experiential Courses and Engaged Learning at SUNY Oswego.

An academic internship or co-op is a preplanned upper-division learning experience building upon knowledge and abilities gained in the classroom setting. The goal of an internship or co-op is to offer students an opportunity to apply their theoretical background and skills to an experiential situation and explore a specific career field or fields. Internships can be paid or unpaid, while co-ops must be full time, paid opportunities.
