When college search site Niche.com recently looked for the best campus food across America, they found the top college eating experience in Central New York here at SUNY Oswego.
According an article on Syracuse.com, SUNY Oswego ranks first in the region and #13 in the state in Niche's 2019 Best College Food in America guide. Niche.com places the college at #228 nationally, with A- rating, out of nearly 1,400 schools.
"The 2019 Best College Food ranking is based on meal plan costs and student reviews," Niche's website explained. "Top-ranked colleges offer outstanding on-campus dining—students can easily access healthy, quality food across a wide range of cuisines and dietary preferences."
Auxiliary Services, which runs the college’s dining operations, takes pride in offering a variety of menu choices to meet the diverse preferences of today’s college students. Working extensively with local suppliers, Oswego Dining has a long-standing reputation for purchasing high-quality fresh ingredients for carefully crafted options in various dining centers and retail dining locations.
While not mentioned by name, the most famous offering is the Oz Chicken Patty -- which will make its dining-hall debut for the semester on Friday. But whatever your preference, bon appetit!
