Oswego's Money Matters Team will present "Adulting Your Wallet" from 5 to 7 p.m. on Feb. 17 in 114 Marano Campus Center.

Financial professionals will teach attendees about financial literacy over a number of topics.

In addition to the helpful information, the event will feature giveays including Meta Glasses, hundreds of dollars in gift certificates, professional attire, gas cards, next semester's books, Tide Sticks, a portable flat charger, and more, plus a free book. Additionally, the first 40 students to attend will get a swag bag filled with free stuff. The event also will feature free food and drinks.

Attendees can learn about the following topics:

  • "Your Wallet Called - It’s Tired of the Chaos": Practical budgeting and saving strategies for post-graduation life. Explore real-world expenses using a sample salary case study.
  • "Free Money (Said No One Responsible Ever)": Understand credit scores, student loans and responsible borrowing. Gain insights on managing debt and building a strong credit profile.
  • "Investing - Because Ramen Won’t Be Cute at 65": Discover how to evaluate job offers, understand benefits and plan for future savings and retirement

Money Matters is a peer financial literacy program run through the Office of Financial Aid. Attendees are invited to come hungry, leave smarter and maybe earn some amazing prizes.
